January 21, 2017 - Eastman Nature Center Snowshoe - Start Point: Eastman Nature Center, 13351 Elm Creek Road, Dayton, MN

Times: Start from 9am - 1pm, finish by 3pm

Description: 6k snowshoe walk will take place entirely within Three Rivers Park District Eastman Nature Center on snowshoe trails and the park's multi-use trails. These trails are natural snow only trails. Snowshoe rental fee is $5 per day, or bring your own. If natural snow is not adequate, walking on trails will be allowed.

Rating:  2C, no pets

Directions: Starting at MN Hwy 610 and US 169 in Brooklyn Park, proceed west on Hwy 610 approximately 2.5 miles until it merges with County 81. Go approximately 1 mile on County 81 to the first stop light, turn right (north) on Fernbrook Lane (County 121). Proceed north on Fernbrook Lane approximately 1 mile and turn right on Elm Creek Road. Proceed east on Elm Creek Road approximately 0.5 mile to Eastman Nature Center entrance (look for sign) and take a right onto the Nature Center entrance road.

February 11, 2017 - Walking Company @ Mall of America Walk - Start Point: The Walking Company Store, 160 West Market (level 1), Mall of America, Bloomington, MN

Times: Start after 7:30am, finish by 11am

Description: 5k & 10k walk. Route is entirely within the remodeled Mall of America. Please respect shoppers.

Directions: Mall of America is located between 42nd Ave S and Cedar Ave, just south of I-494. Go east or west on I-494 to Cedar Ave (Hwy 77), exit 2C, south to Killebrew Drive. Parking suggested at the west entrance to the mall. Once inside the west entrance on level 1, turn right and walk to the Walking Company Store on the left to register.

New!  May 6, 2017White Bear Lake Walk - Start Point: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3770 Bellaire Ave., White Bear Lake, MN

Times: Start after 8am, finish by 3pm

Description: 6k & 11k. Route will be on city sidewalks and blacktop walking paths in residential neighborhoods and beside White Bear Lake and Goose Lake.

Rating: 1A

Special Programs: Animal Safari, Louisiana Purchase, Lakes & Reservoirs

Directions: Take I-35E north from St. Paul to Exit 115 for Co Rd E and turn right. Continue east on Co Rd E for 3 miles to Bellaire Ave. Turn left on Bellaire, then right on Dorothy Ave to the church parking lot. Look for the bell tower in front.

New!  July 22, 2017 - Elk River Walk - Start Point: Boys and Girls Club, 905 6th St NW, Elk River, MN

Times: Start from 8 - 1pm, finish by 3pm (Restrooms open at 9am)

Description: 5k & 10k. Route is on paved trails and sidewalks through a park and quiet neighborhoods. 10k includes the downtown area.

Rating: 1A

Special Programs: Animal Safari, Louisiana Purchase

Directions: From I-94, take exit 207A-B to MN 101 North. After 7 miles, the highway becomes US 169 as it enters Elk River. Turn left onto Main St for 1/2 mile, then right onto US 10 for a short distance to the first right onto Jackson Ave. Take the third left onto 6th St NW to the Boys and Girls Club in Lions Park.

New!  August 12, 2017 - Roseville Arboretum Walk - Start Point: Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, 2525 Dale St, Roseville, MN

Times: Start from 9:30am - 1pm, finish by 3pm

Description: 5k & 10k. Two 5k loops. One is on paved trails through a city park with arboretum and sensory gardens. The other is on paved and gravel trails that include boardwalks in the Harriet Alexander Nature Center. No significant hills or steps.

Rating: 1B, no pets

Special Programs: Boardwalks, Louisiana Purchase, You'll Never Walk Alone

Directions: From Hwy 36 in Roseville, take the Dale St exit and go north 0.4 miles to the Central Park Dale West parking lot for the arboretum. Overflow parking is available at the Dale St Athletic Complex.

September 16, 2017 - Historic Hastings Walk - Start Point: Jaycee Park, Hastings, MN

Times: Start after 8am, finish by noon

Description: 5k & 10k. The route will consist of two 5k loops on sidewalks and blacktop trails through residential neighborhoods, town and nature trails, and features the Mississippi river and Federal Lock & Dam #2. One significant hill.

Rating: 2A. Wheelchairs/strollers difficult because of the hills. Pets okay. Restroom available at the beginning of the walk.

Directions: Take Hwy 61 south from St. Paul. Cross the new Hastings bridge into the city. Immediately after the bridge, turn right on West 3rd St (1 block), turn right on Eddy St (1 block), turn left on W 2nd St, turn right on Lock & Dam Rd (watch for the sign), Jaycee Park will be on your right next to the river.

October 17, 2017 - St. Paul Guided Walk & TCV Annual Meeting - Start Point: Joseph's Grill, 1405 Wabasha Ave (corner of Wabasha and Plato)

Times: Registration at 9:30am. 10k group starts at 10am. 5k group starts at 11am.

Description: Enjoy an autumn walk along the majestic Mississippi River, through parts of the Mississippi River National Park and through historic St. Paul River Bluff neighborhoods. After the walk, stay for the meeting with lunch and complimentary beverages served.

Rating: 1A, pets okay

Special Programs: Bridges, Louisiana Purchase, Ports of Call

Directions: From downtown St. Paul, take Kellogg Blvd to Wabasha. Turn south onto the Wabasha Bridge, crossing the Mississippi River 1/2 mile to the restaurant, which is on the corner of Wabasha & Plato Blvd.

November 4, 2017 - Walking Company @ Rosedale Mall Walk - Start Point: Rosedale Mall, Fairview Ave north of Hwy 36, Roseville

Times: Start after 8am, finish by noon

Description: 5k & 10k. The walk is entirely indoors in shopping mall.

Rating: 1A

Special Programs: Louisiana Purchase

Directions: From Hwy 36, go north on Fairview Ave and turn right into mall parking lot. Use entrance by Macy's on west side of mall. The Walking Company is two stores from Macy's on the first level.

December 9, 2017 - YMCA - Mpls Skyways Indoor Winter Walk - Start Point: YMCA (skyway level, LaSalle Building), 30 South 9th St.

Times: Start from 9:30am - 1pm, finish by 3pm

Description: 5k & 10k. Festive walk is entirely within the Minneapolis Skyway System - beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Rating: 1A, no pets

Special Programs: Bridges, Louisiana Purchase, National Register of Historic Places, Vice Presidents

Directions: From south: Take I-35W north. Take downtown exit to 9th St. Turn left and park in LaSalle ramp on the corner of LaSalle and 9th St.
