January 1 - mid March

Come ski on the wonderful groomed trails at Elm Creek Park Reserve!  There are two loops, both of which are 2.5k.  The Valley Trail starts at the chalet.  It's a wide trail with scenic views of the valley, some moderate hills, and guaranteed snow through mid-March.  If you're interested in a more rugged, woodsy skiing experience (with one BIG hill), you can branch off onto the Northern Lights Trail... assuming there is enough natural snow.  Both trails are lit until 10pm.  Both trails are one-way (clockwise).  Please purchase your trail pass and read the trail rules at the chalet before starting.

6k & 10k.  On this walk, you'll pass by a variety of interesting sights.  These include the 3M Museum, a couple old trains (including the "last of the worlds largest locomotives"), and some lighthouses.  Along the harbor, you'll have a great view of the ore docks (particularly while walking out on the breakwater to one of the lighthouses).  This walk also includes a mix of gravel and paved trails that follow the Lake Superior shoreline, with more excellent views and chances to view wildlife.
